Another Record by Rohit Sharma: Highest Average in the world of Test Cricket
On October 20, 2019, Rohit Sharma became the only cricketer in the world to surpass the world record held by Don Bradman of Australia for highest average in international test matches. Rohit striked 99.84 against Bradman’s 98.22.
This feat was achieved by Rohit Sharma in the 3rd test match against South Africa at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi, Jharkhand which is being held from 19-23 October 2019. Rohit scored 212 runs of 255 balls, hitting 28 fours and 6 sixes.
During this test series India created another world record for highest number of sixes by hitting 47 sixes so far. Earlier Australia held this record with 40 sixes. Rohit Sharma leads the tally with 19 sixes followed by Mayank Agarwal with 8 sixes.
