Film Review DREAM GIRL (2019)
Film Review: DREAM GIRL (2019)
Another milestone by Ayushmann Khurrana Dream Girl has all the essence of a good comedy (with some suggestive words) and throughout entertainment. The film revolves around a guy who is good in imitating girl’s voice. He gets a job in call centre and the comedy sequences unfold one by one. At certain points it’s a laugh riot.
Every actor has played his/her part very well, specially in haryanwi accent. The film is set in a small town of Gokul and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The local accent has been polished by all the actors very well.
It’s a kind of taboo subject taken up by the director, Raaj Shandilyaa by targetting the growing loneliness in the society and the need to have two way communication among people.
The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Nachiket Pantvaidya. The Kapoor’s are already known for taking up bold subjects for making films and web series. However, some scenes may cause embarassment to parents if viewing with their young kids.
The film keeps you glued to the screen for the next comedy punch. The interval creates suspence as to what will happen next! The songs are matching to the theme of the film. The music score by Meet Bros is already catching up in the charts.
Nusrat Bharucha, of Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety fame, looks good with her sweet smile. There is not much for her to do in film. The development of relationship between karam, played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Mahi, played by Nusrat Bharucha needed some more scenes, may be the that was not the target of the debutant Director Raaj Shandilyaa.
Overall the film is a must watch, specially for fans of Comedy Genre and of course for fans of Ayushmann Khurrana.
Rating: 4 out of 5.
